Maurice Pillard

Maurice Pillard Verneuil (1869–1942) was a French artist and designer best known for his Art Nouveau work. Verneuil was strongly inspired by nature and used plant motifs and geometric shapes in his designs. His work spans a variety of media including textiles, wallpaper, and book illustrations. Verneuil was also a pioneer in the use of lithography for artistic purposes and contributed significantly to the popularization of this technique. His 1896 work “The Lilac” is an outstanding example of his ability to translate natural forms into decorative art.

Interesting fact: Maurice Pillard Verneuil was close friends with the famous artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and worked with him as well as other well-known artists of his time. This collaboration helped blur the boundaries between different art forms and paved the way for modern design concepts.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.

Environmentally friendly

We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.

UV & moisture resistant

Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
