Tolouse Lautrec (1896)
A pioneer of poster art, Jules Chéret revolutionized visual communication in the late 19th century with his vibrant and dynamic designs. Born in Paris in 1836, Chéret has often been called the "father of the modern poster." His works, including the famous 1896 poster for Toulouse-Lautrec, are known for their bright colors and depiction of Parisian nightlife. Chéret used lithography to make art accessible to the masses, and his posters adorned the streets of Paris, catching the eye of passersby and leaving a lasting impression on the cityscape.
Fun fact: Jules Chéret was not only a gifted artist, but also an innovator in printing technology. He developed a method that allowed posters to be printed in bright colors and in large print runs, something that had not been possible before. A lesser-known detail about his life is that Chéret originally trained as a perfumer before turning to art. This early experience with scents and colors may have influenced his later work, giving him a fine sense of combining colors and shapes that made his posters so distinctive.

Our fine art giclée printers use 12 different ink tanks and produce museum-quality art prints. Thanks to specially pigmented inks, significantly more color nuances can be displayed than with conventional printing processes and other providers.
Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
